🪡 The Common Thread No. 30

Hey Reader!

Tomorrow is the big day! Maybe you've been done with your costumes for weeks, or you're rushing around finishing your costumes, or maybe you decided this year was going to be a store bought costume year. No shame either way! I'm doing a mixture this year. Only one of my five kids ended up with a handmade costume this year, well actually I made two costumes but one of my kids decided she wanted something else after I made hers. No comment. 😑 Here is my child in the one handmade costume that actually ended up being worn this year lol. She's Stitch, not Eeyore like some people thought. 🤣

Every year I keep saying I'm going to make myself an Amelia Bedelia costume since I was named after her (kidding😂), but wouldn't that be an epic costume? Then each year I'm doing my kids costumes up till the last minute and I don't do it. Maybe next year!! Here is what my husband and I went as instead. Yep. 67. If you have kids, you know. It drives us absolutely crazy so we decided to turn the tables on them. They were so embarrassed, so mission accomplished. 😈

My older kids are at an age where they still want to dress up, but the costumes are 🥴. My son was a Skibbidi Toilet... Lord help. And another daughter was a 6 7 Mason whatever the heck THAT means (not to be confused with her parent's embarrassing costumes). Am I old??? I think I officially am.

We have 2 Halloween events under our belt... 2 more to go. Sending all the energy to those of you in the same boat!

Finding comfort in sewing
